OC Pet Expo 2009

America’s Family Pet Expo, based in Orange County, California, took place in April this year.  The three day event featured not only exhibitions but a variety of animals as well, boasting over 1,000 animals.

Exhibitors included manufacturers, retailers, groomers, veterinarians, humane societies, and breeders, giving the Pet Expo a well rounded representation of the animal community.

Unfortunately the Expo does not allow you to bring your own pets, which meant half of the Kila Couture team had to stay home.  To make up for it, the Expo does provide an ample amount of entertainment in the form of shows, competitions, and demos.  Shows included dogs, cats, birds, and even reptiles were in on the act.

A few memorable moments were the Dog Fancy Fashion Show and the Splash Dogs show.  The Splash Dogs show in particular was highly entertaining, featuring dogs of various breeds diving off a platform after a toy.  Winners are chosen based upon the length of their dive.

Kila Couture thoroughly enjoyed the Expo this year and is looking forward to next year!
