Huntington Dog Beach 

If dogs ran the world, this would be their beach.  Located in the ocean community of Huntington Beach, the dog beach is approximately 2 miles of beach dedicated to dogs and their owners.

Dogs can be off leash in the water and on the wet parts of the sand.  For small dogs, it is important to stay close to your dogs, since there isn’t any protection from the larger and more playful dogs that visit the beach.  Even with the larger dogs present, there is much to be said about getting to walk with your dogs on the beach and chase the waves as they crash.  Kila in particular enjoys getting wet and playing in the waves, although the big ones scare her. 

Weekdays are ideal, since there is less beach traffic and the dogs get a chance to run up and down the beach.
